Approach To Group Therapy
Our groups create a space where members can experience relief, mutual support, and interpersonal learning. I am committed to facilitating a group therapy space that is oriented toward helping its members make meaningful change.

What Makes Group Therapy Different?
Unlike individual therapy, group therapy allows members to experience, observe, and reflect on their relationship styles in real time with others. Combined with honest feedback and shared vulnerability, this creates a transformative space for insight, change, and deeper self-understanding.
What If I am Anxious Socially?
Social anxiety is not a barrier to group therapy—it’s often a reason to be there. Group offers a unique, warm setting to face fears of judgment, rejection, or inadequacy, allowing members to receive honest yet compassionate feedback. Over time, this can reduce anxiety and reshape how one sees oneself in relation to others.
Should I Join Group If I Have Individual Therapy?
Group therapy can be highly effective when done alongside individual therapy, as long as the two are well-coordinated. When both therapies support rather than compete with each other, the combined approach can accelerate growth and deepen emotional change.

Meet The Group Facilitator

Dr. Didi Levy
For nearly a decade, I’ve practiced as a licensed psychologist, refining my expertise through thousands of clinical hours with adults across the lifespan. My training as a doctoral-level psychologist, grounded in psychodynamic therapy and integrated with CBT, allows me to meet my clients’ challenges with depth, precision, and clinical rigor. Over the years, I’ve seen that a strong therapeutic relationship can foster insight and help people make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives. As the Assistant Director of the Yeshiva University Counseling Center and the owner of a private practice, I’ve worked extensively with adults from diverse backgrounds—veterans, professionals, students, fathers, entrepreneurs, and individuals navigating major life transitions. Psychotherapy, in my view, is a bespoke process: no two adults are the same, and the roadmap to meaningful change must be tailored, deliberate, and collaborative. Together, we will identify the psychological patterns contributing to your distress, understand the forces that keep them in place, and intervene in ways that promote durable, internal change. Reach out for a consultation to begin the work of living with greater clarity and freedom.
